Patrick is a partner and specialises in criminal law. He has a strong passion for defending the rights of his clients and regularly acts on high profile media cases in Sydney and the Illawarra region. Patrick is well-known among his colleagues and the criminal law circles for being impartial, persistent and strong willed.
For the past two years, Patrick is recognised as a Recommended Criminal Lawyer in Regional NSW in the Doyle’s Guide listing for his expertise and abilities in criminal law. He is also a regular legal commentator on national television and radio on various topics of criminal law.
Patrick provides advice and represents clients charged with a wide variety of criminal matters from serious murder and manslaughter cases to drug matters, allegations and charges under the Health Care Complaints Act, sports judiciary representations, weapons, assaults, sexual offences, summary offences, working with Children’s Check Appeals, theft, drink driving charges to bail applications and traffic fines. Patrick is also a trial advocate and represents clients in District Court jury trials.
Patrick joined the firm in January 2019 from the NSW Police Force where for 7 years he was a senior prosecutor and relieving area prosecutor commander in the Sydney and the Specialist Courts command.
Prior to this role as a police prosecutor, he was a general duties police officer and plain clothes officer within the detective’s office at Marrickville Local Area Command and before joining the NSW Police Force, he was an associate at a boutique Sydney law firm.
Patrick has always prided himself on being contactable and approachable. He ensures that complex legal problems are explained in easy to understand terms. Patrick is relaxed, down to earth but yet has incredibly persuasive advocacy skills and with his knowledge of knowing both sides of a criminal trial, he can provide the best representation no matter what the situation is.

Patrick started his education journey at the St Ignatius College Riverview in Lane Cove then completed a Bachelor of Law from the University of Wollongong. He is also a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
Patrick is an amateur surfer, golfer and skier. He grew up on a vineyard so loves a drop of good red wine. He also enjoys keeping fit and from his days of playing rugby union, he is a fanatical Wallabies supporter.
